Q Park Burlington Walkway Refurbishment

Leigh DB were appointed to carry out the refurbishment of the stairwells and walkways at Q Park Burlington. The project included the removal of existing coatings, concrete repairs to damaged stair treads and landings, installation of new stair nosings, and the application of specialist anti-slip coating systems throughout. All works were completed in bespoke client RAL colours, within the allocated programme and in budget, with a 10-year manufacturer warranty issued upon completion.

Scope of Works

Pre-Works

• Removal of existing paint from stairwell and landings
• Repairs to large, damaged areas, including stair nosings

Prokol Works

• Primer application to base of stairwell to prevent rising damp
• Anti-slip top coat applied to all landings and stair streads
• Application of Topcoat 35 applied to all stair risers
• Nosings installed to every step edge across all floors
• All works completed in bespoke client RAL colours

10 year manufacturer warranty issued on completion of the works

All refurbishment works were carefully planned and phased to ensure minimal disruption to the day to day operation of the car park and its users. Works were completed in controlled sections between 8:00am and 4:00pm, with clear signage, barriers, and safe pedestrian routes maintained throughout the project. The phased approach allowed the stairwells to remain operational where possible, ensuring continued access for customers while maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

• The product guarantee issued by Prokol Polymers UK will apply for a period of up to 10 years.
